Seyfarth Synopsis: With the return of Fall, the Seyfarth Chicago office would normally host its Quarterly Breakfast Briefing at our office in the Willis Tower. This year, we’re bring our talented team to you virtually! Please join us on Thursday, October 8, 2020, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Central.

About the Program

While 2020 and the global pandemic continue to bring unique challenges to the workforce, other, equally important, social issues have since (re)surfaced and require an equally thoughtful strategy and response. Please join members of Seyfarth’s Chicago office for a panel discussion on managing the workforce in the midst of the current social and political climate. Topics will include:

  • Political and social justice speech in the workplace and best practices for managing employee communications to maximize productivity and morale in turbulent times.
  • Recent Pay Equity trends, including the inclusion of pay ratio numbers in Environmental Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) reports as well as risks and benefits of disclosing pay equity numbers.
  • The rise of the “S” under the ESG umbrella and the need for board and senior management alignment on addressing ESG and managing risk in disclosures.
  • The timely focus on anti-Black racism and Seyfarth’s “The Belonging Project,” a response to the pandemic and doubling down on Inclusion and Diversity in the legal profession.
